Could some of you who are running Windows 7 do me a favour and download this little program and run it? All it will do is create a folder and a file in that folder. If it works, I should be able to make Phenomenon 32 run on Windows 7.
Edit: Thanks for the feedback. Should be able to work out something or other.

/ May 12, 2010I got a dialog box with text, a folder, and a very puzzled INI file.

/ May 12, 2010Gregory, sometimes you are just too cute. *grin*

/ May 12, 2010Jonas, I tried Filedropper again and it worked this thyme.
FINALLY!
Now, I will go and decide whether you need to be pelted by jellyfish.

Now that it’s installed, the fucking thing won’t work. Every time I try to start it, it goes to a black screen, and then it goes back to my desktop and gives me an error message saying it encountered a fatal error and had to close. Below that, it said to please tell the developer about the problem, and since it asked so nicely, I did.
What the fuck is going on?

/ May 13, 2010If you don’t mind another suggestion, I’d suggest adding clear version numbers or, at least, a Change log for future updates. It’s difficult to tell from the installer and/or files what version of the game one has.
Just something I was thinking about off-hand to improve the quality of your title.

/ May 13, 2010Evil Roda, didn’t you have an extremely slow PC? That is almost certainly part of the problem.

/ May 13, 2010Will the Windows 7 file saving problem be fixable with a patch like the resconstruction bug, or will I have to download the whole game again?
Jonas
/ May 13, 2010Just a patch – basically a new .exe file.
Evil Roda
/ May 13, 2010How can that be part of the problem? I thought the game would just run too slowly to be playable, not crash every time I tried to start it!
