Hancock

Verena: This movie was like a person being drawn and quartered. Every piece of it seemed to be going in a different direction.

Jonas: …that’s true. It was a lot less than the sum of its parts.

Verena: It’s like they tried to make four different versions of the same movie and then just cut them together at random.

Jonas: Exactly.

And that’s what we think about Hancock. Will Smith was, as always, excellent, but the movie went off in all sorts of directions, many of them wrong. Instead of having layers, this movie had pieces. And the pieces didn’t fit. Which is a shame, because the central idea has a lot of potential.
