And perhaps also a little hungry? Well, here you: our new cooking show.

How did we come up with our latest crazy project? It’s quite simple, really. As our friends will attest to, Verena is an amazing cook, and one thing she’s always said is that cooking isn’t as incredibly difficult as a lot of writers make it out to be. So why not make a fun little show that explains how to cook things from a low-budget perspective? That’s the reality most people face anyway, whether they’re starving artists or not.

We’re just getting started with this, and if this goes well, we’ll expand the show’s web presence as we go. For now, you can visit us on Facebook. Mainly, though, we hope you enjoy our first episode! (And, as usual, spread the word.)

Chris Hemsworth is fantastic, the writing and story are quite good and put the emphasis where it’s needed, the visuals are mostly excellent (occasionally brilliant), the music is very good, and… yeah. It has a few minor flaws, but it’s fun, it’s not at all stupid, and it’s well-made. A good film by any standards.

(Oh, and Idris Elba as Heimdall? Holy shit! The movie’s worth seeing for that alone.)

If you’re going to see one superhero movie these year, let it be Thor.

Apparently a group dedicated to hating M. Night Shyamalan and The Last Airbender has taken great offense at my articles, and my attempts to explain my opinion (in the comments).

Now, get this, because it’s too precious for words: they claim the movie is racist (I disagree, but do have many criticisms), and that I’m a racist for not seeing that. Then they proceed to make remarks like:

And now to add insult to injury, he’s dissed Peter Jackson. In favor of making Shama-llama-ding-dong look good.

and

I wonder how long he been blowing M. Night’s e-dick.

and

you are the most butthurt fanboy I have ever seen. Go back and finish sucking on M.Night dick.

So, making fun of Indian names is not racist, and blatantly homophobic language is OK. This would be sad if it wasn’t funny.
